JIO’ITO CASPITA

JIO’ITO CASPITA (Japan)

Price: $570,000 (estimated).

Birthdate: Sooner or later.

How to say it: “Gee-OH-toe Caw-SPEE—tah.”

The Jiotto Caspita, the only Japanese exotic car in this survey and the only one financially backed by the makers of women’s underwear, is another Group C—derived vehicle; it is styled by jiotto and de-signed by Dome. The 2400-pound car was originally intended to be powered by a 450-bp Subam/Motori Modem flat twelve, a combination reportedly good for 186 mph.

The gentlemen who are into women‘s underwear would like to see the Caspita launched some time this year. To do that however, somebody must first locate a more modern engine (the Subaru twelve is out of production), as well manufacturing facility that can make car conform to European and Japanese safety regulations. Only 30 Jiotti Caspitas are scheduled to be built in the next three years. Don‘t look for any here, not even at Frederick’s of Hollywood.
