This week’s exotic car is the Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Whenever a car is produced by Rolls Royce, you can rest assured it is a product of perfect craftsmanship and precision down to every last leather seat stitch. This new addition to their growing collection, the Rolls Royce Cullinan, is a high bodied vehicle that redefines what it means to have a car made for utility today. The Cullinan adds space and even a greater presence to the predecessors, with hardware to send it up and down mountain roads effortlessly.
Often saddled up against the Phantom make, the Cullinan features a 30% stiffer chassis for an improvement in overall steering control. Rolls Royce was determined to bring their cars to other terrains than just the typical highways and scenic roads, helping people to take their luxury to the mountains, over unsteady ground that often delivers the most beautiful views.
After all, Lawrence of Arabia did say that his Rolls Royces are “more valuable than rubies in the desert.”
Background
Equipped with a high body that gives spaciousness and comfort to everyone inside, the application of the powertrain is very specific to the Cullinan. The new car features a double wishbone setup front and a five-link rear axle, with self-leveling air suspension and quick-thinking electronically controlled dampers.
The engine itself is a reworked version of the Rolls Royce Phantom’s twin-turbo, 6.75-liter V12, good fro 563bhp and 627lb ft. of toque.
Try out the adventure mode, which can be accessed via a single button within the vehicle. Drive it across rutted track, gravel, wet grass, mud, or snow without any problem at all. The car can even wade 540mm, the deepest, claims Rolls, of any super luxury SUV available on the market (more so than the Bentley Bentayga, even).
